A new airport opened in Beidaihe, a popular summer sea resort in north China's Hebei Province on 31, March.

Started its construction in 2012, this new airport has a 2,600-meter runway and can accommodate large and medium-sized aircraft. It has 70 scheduled domestic flights each week. In the summer, international routes to Russia, the Republic of Korea and Japan will be opened.

Located in the southwest of Qinhuangdao City, the Beidaihe Scenic Area owns beautiful coastline and beach. It is suitable for all year round travel, though, the best time to visit is from May to October.
