Announced by China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG), the sixth China International Youth Arts Festival will be held from August 12 to 29. Beijing holds the main venue, and there will be performances staged in other five cities respectively Shanghai, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Xiamen and Xi’an. A total of 253 cultural activities will be performed during the festival.

Youth art troupes from China, the United States, Britain, Spain and other countries will stage classic world famous musicals and dances including Cats and The Peacock during the festival. Performances featuring Chinese historical stories and traditional Chinese folk arts will also be highlighted at the event.
