China Southern opened a new direct flight route linking Shenyang, capital city of northeast China's Liaoning Province, and Vladivostok, Russia on July 31.

The flight, operated by A320 aircraft, takes off from Shenyang every Monday and Friday at 19:10 and lands in Vladivostok at 22:40 local time. The return flight leaves Vladivostok at 23:40 and arrives in Shenyang at 23:15 local time.

For the traveller, Shenyang boasts its very own Imperial Palace, a tomb complex and two decent museums, as well as several fine parks. The city is well worth a couple of days’ stopover during your trip in northeast China.
