The third Daliao Culture & Winter Fishing Festival officially opened at Wolong Lake of Kangping County in Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning province, on Jan 18, 2015.

Wolong Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the province, is located on the northern side of Shenyang and occupies an area of 127.5 square kilometers. During the 7-day festival, a series of activities like ancestor-worshipping ceremony of Liao Dynasty (916-1125), sacrifice ceremony to the lake, and taste the fish head soup will be held.
